The Fine Print,

Day 7 is a small studio in Hamilton, Ontario. We keep what we collect to a minimum, and we tell you plainly what happens to it.
Privacy
We follow Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Canada's anti-spam law (CASL). Here's the short version: we use your information to reply to you, do the work we agreed on, and send you things you asked for. We don't sell it.
What we collect
What you type into our forms and quizzes: your name, church, role, email, website, and your answers. Anything you send us by email or on a call while we work together.
Basic visit data, like pages viewed, device type and approximate location, through analytics. Invoicing details if you become a partner.
Why we collect it
To answer your message, prepare for a discovery call, deliver the work, send invoices, and run our newsletter, The Canopy. Quiz answers help us understand your church before we talk. They never get you added to a list you didn't choose.
Who helps us handle it
We share information with no one else, unless the law requires it.
We email you only if you've asked us to, or if we're already working together. Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
How long we keep it
Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe. Inquiry and quiz details stay for up to two years if we don't end up working together. Invoices and payment records stay for six years, as Canadian tax rules require.
Your church's information
When we build or maintain a site for your church, your congregation's information belongs to your church. We handle it only to do the work, and we return or delete it when you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we reply within 30 days.
If we don't get it right, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security and children
We use reputable tools, strong passwords and limited access. If a breach puts your information at real risk, we tell you. This site isn't built for children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Cookies
Our analytics tool uses cookies to count visits and see which pages help. It doesn't tell us who you are.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works fine without them.
AI at Day 7
The short version. We use AI for images and proofreading. A person approves everything. We don't intentionally put sensitive information into it.
A person decides
We choose, adjust and approve every image. We read every edit before it goes anywhere. AI helps us move faster. It doesn't make the call.
What we keep out
We don't intentionally enter sensitive information into AI tools. That means private details about people in your congregation, pastoral care notes, financial or health information, and logins.
The copy we proofread is public-facing text meant for your site or materials. If a draft contains anything private, we remove it before it goes into any AI tool.
About the images
AI images are illustrations. We don't present them as photographs of real people or real events at your church. Ask us which images are AI-generated and we'll tell you.
What you can do with each AI image, and who holds which rights, is spelled out in your proposal. You'll know before we start.
Third-party tools
AI tools are run by other companies, and they handle what we enter under their own terms. That's one more reason we keep sensitive information out.

Everything on this site is general information. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Day One pricing is confirmed after a discovery conversation.
Real work is governed by the written proposal we agree on together. If it differs from this page, the proposal wins.
As-is, with care
We work hard to keep this site accurate and running. We can't promise it will always be error-free or available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Day 7 isn't liable for losses that come from using the site or from links to other sites. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.

We link to tools and resources we trust. We don't control them, and their policies are theirs.
Changes and governing law
We may update this page. The date at the top always shows the latest version. These terms follow the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to Ontario courts.
